Directly supporting the development and commercialization of health-tech innovation
The 8-80 Collaborative directly supports innovators and companies in developing and commercializing technologies that deliver health solutions for patients from youth to older adults. Funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), the 8-80 Collaborative is a partnership between the CHEO Research Institute and Bruyère. Together we support companies pursuing innovations aimed at those young and old, from eight seconds to more than 80 years.
What the 8-80 Collaborative offers
Our support focuses on advancing the product development and commercialization goals of the companies we work with – companies that have innovative solutions to challenges facing our healthcare system. It ranges from a comprehensive package of services to help early-stage innovators develop their technology and business to more focused support for established companies wishing to engage CHEO and/or Bruyère on the development, validation, or procurement of an innovative product or service.
Is the 8-80 Collaborative right for you?
We support the following companies and innovators:
Early-stage companies that are developing an innovative technology or service with applications in pediatric or geriatric / long term care. | Established companies that wish to engage CHEO and/or Bruyère to advance the development or deployment of an innovative technology or service. | Innovators within CHEO and Bruyère including clinicians, researchers and front-line staff with an innovation that is ready to be developed into a product. |
If your product development and commercialization goals align with the 8-80 Collaborative, we want to hear from you. Submit the intake application form and an 8-80 Collaborative program lead will connect with you directly.
